“For the love of nature and all the artistry that lies within”

dianne charkow as little girl

Dianne’s love of flowers began at an early age. To pursue her interest in floral arranging she signed on as a junior member of the local garden club. As a young woman she worked in the floral department of  London’s famed Savoy Hotel. Dianne refined her skills by creating arrangements for some of the hotel’s most distinguished guests, including members of the royal family.

Returning to the states, Dianne was invited to work with floral designer James Goslee in Manhattan. Later she went on to establish her own company, Chinadoxis, a word that comes from Chionodoxa, an early spring flower. Dianne’s unique and elegant designs caught the attention of many important style setters in the Hamptons and Manhattan, and her career was launched.

Not wanting the limitations of a store front, she chose to focus her attention on the client, not the every day operation of a shop, a novel idea at the time. From a small arrangement on a side table to a tableau that transforms an event space, her originality, eye for color and attention to detail is evident in every project she takes on.
